One of South Carolina's best kept secrets!

Nestled in the heart of South Carolina, Lake Greenwood stands as a shimmering jewel, beckoning prospective home buyers to experience the epitome of lakeside living. With its pristine waters, sprawling shoreline, and an array of recreational opportunities, Lake Greenwood offers a unique blend of natural beauty, southern charm, and a tight-knit community atmosphere. Join us as we explore the enchanting details that make Lake Greenwood an idyllic destination for those seeking a lakeside retreat and a place to call home.

About 22 miles long, Lake Greenwood is dam controlled and part of a 1,160sq-mile watershed coming down from the mountains, giving them a tremendous advantage to recover if the nation's Southeast is ever hit by drought. Every fall, the lake is typically lowered down about 4 feet from its "full pool" level (439' above sea level) so the dam at its base can be maintained. This is much less than neighboring lakes making this a good choice for a year-round usable lake. In Feb., the lake refill begins again and is at full pool on or before April 15--just in time for a wonderful spring/summer/fall.

Lake Greenwood covers approximately 11,400 acres and is a man-made reservoir created by the construction of the Buzzard Roost Dam on the Saluda River. Located in the picturesque Piedmont region of South Carolina, the lake spans across Greenwood and Laurens counties. Boasting over 200 miles of shoreline, Lake Greenwood provides an abundance of space for waterfront properties, each offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
